These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Faithship — our website (faithship.online), web application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), owned and operated by Pure Light Ltd trading as Faithship (“Faithship,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17433578).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. About Faithship
Faithship is a daily devotional companion providing personalised Scripture-based reflections, guided prayer, and native-accent audio in six languages. Our mission is to create a daily digital sanctuary — grounding users in the authentic Word of God through technology that serves, never replaces, personal engagement with Scripture.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Faithship. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 16 years of age.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- You are not barred from receiving services under the laws of England and Wales or any other applicable jurisdiction.
- The information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use.
Faithship provides authentication directly. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free tier
Faithship offers a free tier providing one personalised devotional per day, guided prayer, single-language support, and basic audio narration. The free tier requires no payment information.
4.2 Faithship Pro
Faithship Pro is a paid subscription offering unlimited devotionals, all six languages, custom audio voices, and searchable reflection history.
- Monthly plan: £4.99 per month, billed monthly.
- Annual plan: £39.99 per year, billed annually — equivalent to £3.33 per month.
Prices are shown in GBP and include applicable taxes where required by law.
4.3 Payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service and privacy policy. Faithship does not store your full payment card details.
4.4 Free trial
New Pro subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. At the end of the trial period, your chosen payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial expires. You may cancel during the trial without charge.
4.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will continue to have access to Pro features until that date. There are no refunds for partial billing periods. Upon cancellation, your account reverts to the free tier and your journal entries and reflection history remain accessible.
4.6 Price changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days’ notice. Continued use of Pro after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful code.

6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our content
The Service — including its code, design, text, graphics, logos, audio, and the “Faithship” name and brand — is owned by Pure Light Ltd and protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Scripture verses displayed in the Service are taken from verified public domain Bible translations (KJV, Reina-Valera, Almeida, Louis Segond, Riveduta, Schlachter). Faithship claims no copyright over the biblical text itself.
6.2 Your content
You retain ownership of content you create through the Service, including journal entries, reflection notes, and prayer requests (“User Content”).
By using the Service, you grant Faithship a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (for example, displaying your journal entries and generating personalised devotionals based on your history). We do not use your User Content for any other purpose. Upon account deletion, your User Content is permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6.3 Feedback
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you agree that we may use such feedback without restriction or obligation to compensate you.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers for specific functionality:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Sequenzy — transactional email.
- DeepSeek — AI devotional generation.
- NoCodeBackend — database hosting.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Google — usage analytics.
We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms and policies.
8. Important Disclaimer: Spiritual Content
Faithship is a devotional tool, not a replacement for:
- Personal engagement with Scripture.
- Pastoral counsel or spiritual direction from your local church.
- Professional mental health support, therapy, or medical advice.
While our devotional content is subject to doctrinal review, and all Scripture is delivered verbatim from verified public domain Bibles, the AI-assisted personalisation of reflections is algorithmic in nature. We encourage you to test all devotional content against Scripture, prayer, and the wisdom of your faith community.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your doctor, a licensed therapist, or a crisis support service immediately. In the UK, you can call the Samaritans free on 116 123 or NHS 111. Faithship is not a crisis intervention tool.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Service provided “as is”
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Faithship provides the Service on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Any errors or defects will be corrected.
- The content provided through the Service is free from inaccuracies.
Theological references and devotional reflections are provided for spiritual encouragement and are not guaranteed to be free from doctrinal error — though we make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy and theological soundness.
9.2 Liability cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Faithship’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise — shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to Faithship in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) £100.
9.3 Exclusions
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK consumer protection law.
10. Termination
10.1 By you
You may terminate your account at any time via your account settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately, and your User Content is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You breach these Terms.
- Your conduct creates risk or legal exposure for us.
- We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practicable).
Where we terminate for breach, no refund is provided for unused subscription periods. Where we discontinue the Service, we will provide pro-rata refunds for prepaid subscriptions.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
As a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights. Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@faithship.online to seek an informal resolution.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- Material changes will be communicated via email (to the address associated with your account) at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
- Non-material changes (for example, clarifications or typo corrections) will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
- Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and may cancel your account.
13. General Provisions
13.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Faithship regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13.3 No waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights.
13.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
